Mission Highlights STS-80 became the longest space shuttle flight in history when the mission was extended by two days due to unfavorable conditions at the proposed landing sites. As Story’s sixth and final mission, it became a celebration of all that he loved about space flight. Story also became the oldest person to participate in a space shuttle mission.
